Materials Engineering Professional Society

MEPS stands for Materials Engineering Professional Society; it is an organization for both undergraduates and graduates.  MEPS gives students a unique experience that many other departments do not offer.  Some of these experiences include:

• Tours and exposure to laboratories and materials industries around the area such as Oakridge National Lab, Corning, NASA, and more;
• A chance to participate in conferences throughout the year such as MS&T, AFS Metal Casting Congress, and the Annual TMS meeting.
• Notifications about important dates and opportunities related to MSE (Scholarships!);
• MSE tailgates and other social events such as gaming nights;
• Participate in Engineers-Week and several STEM outreach activities;
• and many more opportunities to meet fellow classmates, professors, and alumni.
